Enterprise Level Solution with stringent performance, scalability and usability benchmarks coupled with evolving requirements
One of the Big Four Accounting Firms selected C3IT as the service provider to build this Enterprise Level Platform for providing services across various business processes used in the SME service industry. C3IT partnered with the Customer to develop a portfolio of tools that can be accessed directly on the Internet. Our teams worked closely with external consultants to create the basic models for the tools.
An enterprise level architecture was created to meet the specific needs below:
- Completely configurable
- Easily maintainable over the life of the system
- Extremely High Performance Benchmarks
- Scalable to be able to add more tools and service offerings in the future
- Compliant with technology and Software Development Standards
The following were done to bring up the platform up quickly:
- A dedicated offshore team was set up
- Standards were set
- The base architecture created
- Parallel development of all major building blocks
- Team further ramped up to create the detailed features
- Beta launch followed by production in planned timeframe
- RUP was used as the model for development. RUP’s iterative approach helped the architecture and design adapt to continuously evolving needs
- Metrics were defined and tracked to meet the stringent performance and usability benchmarks
