Continuing with its endeavor of spearheading a comprehensive economic engagement between Indian and African economies, FICCI, with the support of Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India organized the India-Africa Business Partnership Summit on 12-13 October, 2011 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre, Hyderabad.

C3IT along with IPMC its partner in Ghana participated in the Summit which was a two day international conference with specific sectoral round tables. C3IT-IPMC shared their experience into the African markets especially the Ghanaian market

SharePoint Conference 2011 is the premier worldwide conference dedicated to SharePoint and related technologies held in October 3-6, 2011 in Anaheim, California

Sarika Malhotra, CTO represented C3IT at the conference. The conference included a fair mix of solutions and product companies a wide range of seminars on topics related to SharePoint 2010, Office 365, Windows & SQL Azure and Denali, the new offering from Microsoft SQL Server

C3IT launched its 'InstaFiler' tool which a state-of-the-art tool for business to view & generate XBRL instance documents. C3IT, in association with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI – http://www.icsi.edu), Pune Chapter, organized a workshop on XBRL adoption in India for the members of ICSI on May 21, 2011. The workshop was conducted by Mrs. Sarika Malhotra, CTO@C3IT.

The program introduced the concept of XBRL to the audience, shared the direction in which XBRL has progressed globally, discussed experiences of some specific Western countries who were early adopters of XBRL followed by detailed discussions & recommendations on steps involved for XBRL adoption. The audience enthusiastically participated in the Q&A session with relevant questions and concerns related to likely impact & benefits of XBRL adoption in the Indian context.

A single day event, it was well received by the audience of almost 70 people comprising of practicing Company Secretaries, Finance Executives and Industry Professionals.

With the success this event, C3IT and ICSI now plan to conduct a 3 days hands on workshop on XBRL rollout sometime in July 2011.

Hundreds of professionals in the Information Technology (IT) industry and people with no knowledge of IT trooped to the Microsoft Open Door conference at the Accra International Conference Centre to explore the latest products and technologies of Microsoft.

The event was organized by IPMC in partnership with Microsoft and was described as the biggest IT event for the year 2011 in Ghana.

Emmanuel Onyeje, General Manager, Microsoft Anglogold West Africa briefed the participants about the investments Microsoft is making in the IT business.

Amar Deep Hari, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IPMC Ghana, stated that between 2 and 2.5 million Ghanaians presently have access to the internet with 80,000 of them being facebook users "and it is expected that the number will hit one million in three months."

It was also noted that government is embarking on a project dubbed the centralized services portal that would enable the public have easy access to government services online. The portal, which is expected to be ready by the end of July, will enhance services in departments and agencies that handle driver’s license, company registration, and land documentation among others.

C3IT, a partner of IPMC Ghana is the technical consultant implementing this portal. Ms. Sarika Malhotra, CTO@C3IT, was a guest speaker at the event; she addressed three separate sessions in the 2 day conference, which was attended by more than 50 CTO and IT professionals from various industries in Ghana along with senior officers from Ministry of IT and Communications. She is seen on the High table here with senior members from Microsoft, IPMC, the Ministry of IT and GASSCOM

C3IT participated in IndiaSoft 2011 (http://www.indiasoft.org), an International Convention & Exhibition organized by The Electronics & Computer Software Export Promotion Council of India (ESC), held at Pune (India) from 25th - 26th March, 2011. C3IT also played an active role in event organization; Mr. Vikas Malhotra, Director @C3IT was the member & co-chair of the event organizing committee.

IndiaSoft is a premier “India Show” supported by Ministry of Commerce & Industry and Ministry of Information technology, Government of India, and organized to showcase India’s flourishing ICT industry to the world. In its 11th year, the event has evolved into a major B2B platform where more than 350 invited delegates from 70+ countries across the globe interact and conduct business with 120 participating Indian SME IT companies.

This was C3IT’s 5th year of participation in the event; a 9 sq m booth was set-up in the exhibition area where C3IT’s technical and industry knowledge was amply displayed and showcased to the visiting delegates. C3IT received great response from delegates who brought myriad business opportunities. The event was a great success, and C3IT struck new business partnerships with companies from Denmark, Spain, Norway, Mexico, Ethiopia, Egypt and Ghana.

The event concluded with a social dinner organized by C3IT for select delegates where Mr. Joachim Kiefaber, State Secretary at the Ministry of Economics and Science, Government of the State of Saarland, Germany and leader of the German business delegation from Saarland was the guest of honor.

C3IT participated in CeBIT 2011 (http://www.cebit.com), an International Convention and Exhibition held at Hannover, Germany between 1st - 5th March, 2011. C3IT was represented at the event by Mr. Vikas Malhotra, Director and Mr. Amol Bhore, Senior Solutions Architect.

CeBIT, organized by Deustche Messe, is the world’s largest IT event – more than 4,200 companies participated in the 2011 edition with nearly 400,000 business visitors from 90 countries. It is the biggest international digital industries event which was a heady mix of exhibition, conference, keynotes, corporate connections and lounges.

C3IT was a part of the “India Pavilion” and presented its cutting edge technology expertise and solutions built on Microsoft SharePoint platform at its 15 sq m booth which was attractively set-up for the visiting delegates. C3IT established 100+ contacts during the 5-day event with potential for many business opportunities & partnerships in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
